It feels like spring today and I am so ready for its arrival. Working in the garden today to prepare for early planting of peas, I took a break to work on the Ladybug pattern Here is a preview of the progress.
The spots are just pinned on for now but soon the hat, blanket and pants will be ready for debut!
Using size G hook and cotton yarn (such as Sugar n Cream)
Rnd 1: Chain 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. [6sc]
Rnd 2: Working in the round – (do not join, use stitch marker to mark rounds) and working in the back loops only, 2sc in each stitch around [12sc].
Rnd 3-5: Working in back loops only, sc in each st around.
Rnd 6: Working in back loops only, [ Insert hook into next sc, yo, draw up a loop, insert hook into next sc, yo, draw up a loop, yo, and draw through 3 loops] Decrease made. sc decrease 6 times. [6sc] Turn.
Note: All poof chain loops are made by working in remaining free loops of rounds 2 – 6
Rnd 7: (Ch 12, sl st in remaining back loop of next st) around until 1 free loop remains. For hanger: chain 30, sl st in last free loop. Fasten off.
